Christakis Damianou

Dr. Christakis Damianou has B.Sc. (1988), M.Sc. (1990). and Ph.D. (1993) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona at Tucson, Arizona.

He specializes in the area of High Intensity Focused ultrasound for medical applications. He has expertise in MRI monitoring of high intensity ultrasonics, tissue characterization and thermal simulations.

He worked at the department of Radiation Oncology at University of Arizona (3 years), department of Radiology at Harvard University(1 year), department of Biophysics at Indiana University(1 year) and department of Electrical Engineering at Frederick University in Cyprus.

He participated so far in 20 grants either as coordinator or partner. He has published about 80 papers mostly in journal papers.
